So it seems like lots of people, including close friends, are doing some kind of year-in-review wrapup. So I figured I’d join in.
In list form, with a few resolutions for 2008:
The Genius is gone.
Rest in peace, Bill.
Couldn’t be.
Is.
Oh well.
Short week at work last week, no big deal. Thanksgiving was mondo fun seeing my extended fam, Heather’s fam, and friends old and new (especially Russ, Greg, and The Big Sabosky). Unfortunately, since then I’ve been sick. I was well enough on Friday to welcome over Greg and Kevin to see the pad [...]
So last night we (a bunch of us) surprised Heather with a birthday (ok, pre-birthday) dinner at Guadie’s… I like the new place, it’s gorgeous, but I remember what I don’t like about the place… their chicken. It isn’t very good, pretty dry and a little stringy. Of course, I ordered two chicken enchiladas suiza. [...]
Niners trade Ken Dorsey to Browns for Trent Dilfer.
I’m sorry to see the local boy go. Dorsey grew up in Orinda and played for Miramonte in high school. Good luck in Cleveland, Ken. I’ll still wear my Dorsey 9ers jersey… just ’cause.

8:18am - OH HELL YEAH. The Niners just picked outstanding mobile fast quarterback Michael Robinson out of Penn State… [...]
I’m awake.
So yesterday, the Houston Texans signed their first pick… and it wasn’t, as I and most everyone in the world thought, with USC RB and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, but with NC State DE Mario Williams. Williams is a stud, but I’m still very surprised.
So this leaves Bush available at #2 for [...]
So this weekend is The Draft. I LOVE watching the NFL draft. Last year, my beloved Niners had the first pick, and their choice in the first round was known weeks in advance. This year, due to some coin flipping with the Raiders (the two teams had identical records and no tiebreaker last season) and [...]
We stayed out way too late last night. Got home a little before 1am I suppose. I’ve been sick and stuck inside so long I just relished being out and chatting with people and everything.
When I got home, I plopped into bed and turned on the tube, which was still set where I had it [...]
